Lipstick & Lyrics: Girls' Night Out

Members of the Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) are having a GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT and everyone’s invited as they haul out their highest drag to take to the stage to perform in CGMC’s 8th Annual LIPSTICK & LYRICS: GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT!--an all-live, all-drag revue on November 12, 2011.

Over the past seven years, LIPSTICK & LYRICS has grown to become a must-see, sell-out event, and is proud to be one of the few non-lip-sync drag revues in the city, showing off the vocal talents of members of CGMC in a different way than usually seen in the chorus’ regular concert schedule.  This year’s edition will be performed at Mayne Stage in Rogers Park and will feature production numbers choreographed by Harrison McEldowney, Jeremy Plummer, and Sarah Nelson.

The evening will be filled with fierce fun and excitement as 12 drag performers and a troupe of hot dancers give all they’ve got in a variety of numbers ranging from Katie Perry’s “Last Friday Night” and CeeLo Green’s “F*ck You” to “Strongest Suit” from the Broadway musical AIDA.  The event will also be highlighted with a raffle featuring fabulous prize packages.  Production assistance and event sponsorship has been provided by G.
