Pride 2010: Summer Camp
Chicago Gay Men's Chorus presents our 2010 Pride Concert, Summer Camp.
Four camping groups--one campsite--fun, frolic and fellowship.
Revolt of the Elves
In case you thought only the French Revolution could inspire a musical of epic proportions, wait till you see what happens at the North Pole.
Fed up with poor working conditions, Norman the elf organizes his comrades to rise up against their big fat boss.
Will Christmas be cancelled? Will Norman be jailed? And where did Mrs. Claus get that faaabulous dress?
Bad Habits
Thinking he’s found his true path in life, a handsome young man joins a monastery only to discover he may have made a wrong turn.
Over the Rainbow - Pride 2009
On June 27, 1969, five days after her death, a memorial was held for Judy Garland in New York City.
Afterwards, a group of mourners gathered at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village. In the early morning hours, the police raided the bar and the patrons fought back.
And our world has never been the same.
Fruit Cake (The Holiday show that's chock full of fruits and nuts!)
Holiday traditions come and go, but fruitcake endures. So we're dedicating this year's holiday concert to fruitcake's nut-laden goodness.
As always, we're packing the show with soaring holiday anthems and light-hearted carols.
Apple Pie (as in ..."as American as"...)
What's more American than apple pie? And what's more Gay-American than low-carb apple pie featuring plump, juicy fruit in an exquisitely flaky crust?
The Boys Are Back in Town
We're capping off the season by bringing our Pride show back to Boystown.
“The week is jam packed with Pride related events right in our neighborhood. We’ve added performances and lowered our ticket price. CGMC wanted to be at the pulse of the community to make our stunning music accessible to anyone taking part in the Pride festivities,” said Ken Puttbach, CGMC’s Board President.
